Resma Patel, GMEF Programme Manager
Resma has a wealth of experience working with grassroots community groups and charities, particularly those from deprived communities. She is passionate about supporting charities to access funding through grants - both bid-writing and grants management.
Resma will facilitate the ambitions of Greater Manchester to restore its natural habitats and create high-quality recreational green spaces with corporate sponsors and donors. She will also enable the generation of green finance investment opportunities through an ambitious natural capital programme
Prior to the GMEF role Resma worked within the charitable and housing sector as a Funding and Partnerships manager, Grants manager and a freelance charity bid-writer supporting charities across the North West to access funding.
Resma is passionate about enabling people to access nature for health, wellbeing and education. She is a Trustee of BackUp North West - a housing charity for homeless young people, Director of The Harmony Hub, Chorley and she is also a Tai Chi practitioner and teacher.
Ellie Sherlock, Communications Officer
With a personal and professional dedication to protecting the natural environment, Ellie has worked as part of the communications and marketing team at The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside for four-years.
In this role, Ellie has acted as Chair of the Manchester Festival of Nature, supported the development of the Trust's Youth Council and sits on the Trust's Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity board with the ambition of giving everybody the opportunity to enjoy and experience the natural world.
