Green Recovery Challenge Fund Projects

From creating floating reed islands in Piccadilly Basin to restoring bogs...

The Greater Manchester Environment Fund has supported a diverse range of projects right across our area thanks to funding from the Green Recovery Challenge Fund. 

These projects have all helped to achieve key results against the Greater Manchester Local Nature Recovery Network Strategy.

This fund was developed by Defra and its Arm's-Length Bodies. It was delivered by The National Lottery Heritage Fund in partnership with Natural England, the Environment Agency and Forestry Commission.
