Community Grocers

This project will offer a new service to support people beyond the foodbank.

This would be a membership scheme for clients to access affordable food that otherwise would have gone to landfill. A 360-degree level of support approach will ensure that clients have a clear route out of poverty whilst being provided with the skills and resources to eventually sustain themselves on their own. Clients will be supported to achieve zero food waste. The charity will source produce from FareShare and partner with local food redistribution schemes including supermarkets. This will lead to a reduction of food waste, reduction of food packaging waste, increased volunteering, better mental health and an easily accessible, affordable, healthy, balanced diet.
