The Greater Manchester Environment Fund (GMEF) is the UK’s first regional environmental impact fund.

We are a central funding source for environmental projects that are working to benefit both nature and people.

We bring great causes and great supporters together, and this is where your organisation comes in.

We can help you meet a variety of environment-focused aims, including Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Value, alignment with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, Biodiversity Net Gain commitments and carbon offsetting. 

We offer a suite of Corporate Supporter opportunities that can positively impact society while ensuring business sustainability.

These opportunities can be tailored to match your unique business needs, from arranging corporate volunteer days to directing large-scale donations to incredible local projects.

The demand for funding from groups across Greater Manchester has been huge, and we consistently receive more proposals than we can fund. 

Become a Corporate Supporter and choose the tier that best suits your needs:

'Seed' Supporter

Join us as a Seed Supporter and you'll have the ability to offer donations through resources such as materials, tools and equipment, and/or the ability to offer time such as volunteer hours. Through agreement with the projects that you are interested in, you will make all arrangements for this contribution and any volunteering would require you to meet your own insurance and health and safety requirements.

'Bud' Supporter

Bud Supporters offer a financial contribution to the Greater Manchester Environment Fund, which will provide them with a package of benefits including an agreed number of volunteer days with projects. The GMEF would be able to support with agreed communications.

'Bloom' Supporter

The highest tier of corporate support is 'Bloom': a financial contribution to fund a specific local project (average award is £30,000).  You will be sent the shortlist of applications and will be able to pick the project that is the best fit to your requirements.  A 15% management charge is added to the project costs of the project you would like to fund.
