The idea
Engaging with the local community to bring about biodiversity improvements at George Street Playing Fields in Shaw.
Groundwork will deliver both public events and educational workshops at the site, with two local primary schools (Buckstones Primary and East Crompton St James Primary) and the public.
Biodiversity improvements will involve the restoration of a pond which is currently in poor condition and the creation of new wildflower meadow habitats set to be adopted by the schools and public.
