The idea
Whitemoss Club for Young People plan to introduce high quality and accessible ponds, streams, and bog gardens to their youth centre within the heart of Blackley. This will not only improve access to nature for the local community, but will also create huge biodiversity value in the area.
Information and workshops will also be available to educate on the value of ponds and how to create them in gardens. One of the ponds will provide a more tranquil space for people to relax and reflect, and will also link to existing fruit and vegetable growing projects encouraging frogs and birds to assist in pest management.
