Westcroft Community Garden

This project will create a public garden out of the unloved concrete space in front of Westcroft Community Centre, carrying the warm welcome the centre offers outside.

They will add fixed seating and planters to create a bright and friendly space that can be used for gardening and other activities. The garden will be maintained by a group of volunteers who will build skills, knowledge and confidence and they will develop wildlife-themed activities to engage centre users.

The group will promote community ownership of the space, encouraging people to meet there, and stop and chat when they pass by.
