Making Green Dreams Come True

The Greater Manchester Environment Fund connects funders and communities who are looking to improve Greater Manchester’s environment for nature and people.

GMEF is a fundraiser and grant maker, making it easy for a wide range of donors to connect with many of the best local projects in need of financial support. These collaborative partnerships benefit both wildlife and people by increasing the quality of natural spaces and ensuring safe and easy access for local communities to connect with nature.

We're seeking support from philanthropic, private and public sector funding partners to do more for Greater Manchester's natural environment. When setting up the GMEF in 2020, Greater Manchester Combined Authority commissioned and published an overview of the opportunity, including the fund’s purpose, strategy, governance and delivery plans.
